I don't know about you but for me, it's starting to feel more real now. The details are planned, the bags are packed (well, mine are anyway!), we've been commissioned by our church, and Tuesday is just around the corner.
My hope, as I stated at our barbeque last night, is that we will realize that it's not all about us and it's not even all about a mission trip. In the end, it's about God and His glory. His desire is for the people from Calvary and Big Springs and the people in Pomona and Hope Creek to worship Him. He is worthy of all our affection and all our attention...all of our worship. May He use these next 2 weeks to tranform us to that end. As we go, may we be amazed by Him when we see our surroundings, may we depend on Him when we realize we have nothing on our own, and may we seek first His kingdom and His righteousness and trust that all other things will be given to us as well for the glory and fame of His name.

Wow, exciting! It is always awesome to be on the brink of God's purpose, but when you know you are, it is even more cool. May you see and know what He is doing in your life and may you hold it forever treasured!! Praying for you...
